Olympic Park won the toss on a great wicket for batting, and duly chose to bat.

They got off to a brilliant start, putting 59 on for the first wicket before the tournament star in Simmons was dismissed, caught off the bowling of Evans for 15.

Olympic Park continued to nurdle along until they lost two wickets in quick succesion, and all of a sudden were 4 for 89 in the 10th, with Rawlings out for 60 caught by Lucas at point for a brilliant 58.

Things looked down for Olympic Park until Breakerage and Price put on an important stand of 49, with Price hitting three of the biggest sixes you will see off one Evans over. This partnership lifted Olympic Park to a respectable score of 138 in what would be a difficult chase for Spencers Town.

In reply, Spencers Town posted a score of 136, falling two runs short of nothing short of an amazing win. Spencers Town where looking strong with 11 runs required off the last over, with Nadel to bowl.

The first ball of the over was hit straight to Price at Mid off, who flung the ball at the stumps and, with a direct hit, ran out Spencers Town's danger batsman in Lockyear. Two balls later Nadel struck again, with O'Connor lifting an easy catch to Price, sparking mass celebrations. Enter young Croft, who strood to the wicket knowing that a four off the last ball would win his side the match. Unfortunately, they only managed two runs, with Croft hitting straight to Simmons on the rope who then threw the ball to Gibbs who then took a stump out of the ground to start to celebrate. It had sunk in- Spencers Town had just lost there third final.
