Northvale have ended their premiership drought with a 28 point win over Northern rivals The Demons. The match was played in front of a record crowd of 211, with the atmosphere electric.

In the end it was The Northvale first quarter that won them the match. Kicking against the breeze, they restricted the Demons to just one goal, while they added 6 of there own. The quarter was dominated by ruckman Marcus Gray and winger Jay Steel, who ripped the heart of the Demons side, gathering kicks and goals at will.

The Demons were unable to utilse key forward Simpson, who was well held by Lucas. This was one of the reasons why they kept their momentous lead and,at half time, led comfortably by 40 points. This much thanks to the brilliance of seasoned goal sneak Scott, who bagged 4 for the match.

In the third quarter, The Demons hit back, with two brilliant goals from Simpson giving them a sniff going into the final quarter.

However, the sniff was snubbed, with Scott kicking a goal seconds into the final quarter to seal the deal, sparking mass celebrations from the loyal Northvale Fans. (pictured above)

The win gave The Cats revenge from there heartbreaking Grand Final loss to The Lego City Crocodiles in 2011.

Scott capped off his brilliant match with the coveted B.O.G award, while his teammate Steel won his second Grand Final sprint.
